roots for bloom bring in four new faces for the seventh release. we see label boss jamie trench deliver an edit and remix of daniel curpen - daddy was a thug, and david moran teams up with albert vogt for their track cut loose and then collabs with mark crumbs for tha bassment. the a side sees jamie bring a rolling dub edit to daniels original and then takes things a little darker for the a2 remix. david morans cut loose shows off the vocal talents of albert vogt which grooves along seductively, then tha bassment as expected brings things a little harder and more for those after hour spots.

second release of parallel pain records. here introduces new faces to label. the single, a mental techno slow-burner titled *radioactivity*, comes from the spanish artist psynth, a seriously deep work produced from this amazing artist. in addition we can find a remix by miki craven the spanish tresor (berlin) ambassador, who inject the original with a shock of jacking technoid. a really good bomb! ends this great release the talented dominants track, no lower one than the original, dominant does his best with a acid pumping remix full of dark shynthis.

ol aka oleg buyanov is well known in his native russia already. he has a background extending from releases on faces records and scuzzy lo-fi hip hop beats on labels like error broadcast, idle and fine grains dating back to 2007. more recently though he has been increasingly turned on by dance floor focussed sounds and as such, here come two missives on russias capital bass (which also hosts a popular bass and garage night in moscow and has done since 2006).

fleetwood mac is a band with many faces. in contrast to their poppy sound of the 70s, fleetwood mac actually started out in the sixties as a psychedelic blues band under guitarist peter greens lead.
pious bird of good omen was originally released in 1969 as a compilation of the bands bluesy roots: their first four uk singles and their b-sides and two tracks by bluesman eddie boyd with fleetwood mac backing. the albums sound is laidback, down & very dirty, featuring scorching cover versions of little willie johns >need your love so bad< and robert johnsons >i believe my time aint long<. the b-side features the international hit single >albatross< and peter greens composition >black magic woman<, the latter being popularized by santanas version in 1970. this album is a must-have for blues fans. anyone interested in the roots of fleetwood mac might discover they are essentially a totally different band than one might think.

we are very happy to welcome our old friend pablo valentino for the second release of 2013. it is no coincidence if pablo & dairmount hooked up nearly 10 years ago when pablo started his imprint faces, dedicated to leftfield black music influenced soundscapes rooted in hip hop culture. both sharing a strong sense of underground activism, a deep love of the black music tree and a lovely obsession for futuristic sounds, it is no surprise that these two naturally decided to join effort under the room with a view umbrella.

theres plenty of fresh faces in dance music and theres plenty of legends, but how often do you come across a legendary fresh face? christian taylor aka dj kon is about as fresh as it gets and yet has been doing it since before most of us knew how to cue a record.
